This hits the spot for a carry out Chinese food craving. Solid for Port Huron, for sure, and very quick. The Gai Kow is good and the pork fried rice is wonderful. Good egg rolls as well.

Not the best in the area, but they do serve alcohol! I think this would hold a pretty steady 3 stars in most parts of the country. Some of the glazes seem a bit straight out of the can, but it's Port Huron. Sooo.... that's kinda gonna happen in many Asian joints that open here, apparently. In any event, I still go here sometimes and have never hated an experience. The wait staff are very attentive, the kitchen is quick and your experiences will be consistent.

Great Place and best Chinese food in the area. Owners are very friendly and the staff is courteous. I recommend the Almond Chicken and the Sweet & Sour Chicken with Wonton Soup and the eggrolls are the best..

As you come upon this Chinese restaurant, you will notice that it's simply LARGE. It definitely has presence. :) There is an attached bar to it, and the restaurant itself is hard to miss. Their menu is largely Chinese American, but even though I predominantly steer clear from these types of foods, some of their dishes are worth trying out. My favorite has to be their Almond Chicken (also known as ABC, Warr Shue Gai). You can order it a la carte ($6), or with a combo (additional $1.50). The breading is fried to a nice light and thin crisp to the moist chicken meat. Not only is the meat always moist, tender, and fresh, they exclusively use chicken breasts, which as you may know, pretty costly. The portion size is extremely generous for the price, as two people with a healthy appetite can easily eat one order. Not only is the chicken itself prepared well, the gravy that they use is really satisfying. On the richer side, the combination of almond extract, eggs, and some other mystery ingredients, the gravy compliments the slightly sweet flavor of the chicken. If you end up ordering the combo, their fried rice is pretty basic in garnishes, but flavored pretty well, albeit a bit salty for my taste buds. You get a wonton soup that is blah, but for the amount of food, this is definitely worth getting. Another thing to make note of - sometimes I've been to places and the portion sizes are dramatically different from each other when dining in versus ordering take out. However, China Lite does not do that. They are very fair when it comes to giving an equal amount of food. I appreciate that immensely. If you happen to find yourself in the Port Huron/Marysville (there is a second location in Marysville off of Range Rd.) area, and are craving some Hong Kong style American food, this place is a good option. Great portion sizes for the buck, service is friendly, though sometimes slow, if it's super busy in house. Decor is nothing to rave about, as it is extremely outdated and gaudy, but if you can overlook that, you will be happy. :)

Poor inside service!!! Appetizers were listed on the menu but we were informed that appetizers were not available. Also did not inform us that they charge for refills until our party of 11 had several refills each. Also informed us that they have milk (for the kids) sometimes...I'll get carry out but I won't dine in again!

On a recent visit to see my Aunts, they decided to treat us to the buffet lunch at China Lite. Years ago, and I'm talking about a decade or more ago, I remember this place used to be hoppin' and the take out was excellent. I am not sure if the owners had changed hands, but when we came in it was buffet only and it seemed that was all you could get for the meal. The buffet is neither the greatest nor the worst: 6-7 main dishes, sides like egg rolls, rice, wonton soup, are available. Despite coming directly from the kitchen, food was not piping hot even after being under heat lamps and on hot serving stations. You have to ask for white rice, if you are not partial to brown, and there is steam plates with kid-friendly food such as chicken nuggets and fries. For the price, it's not /bad/ but it's not great either. This is not the place I remember from ages ago but according to my Aunts, if you want decent Chinese in Port Huron, this is where you go.

This is greasy american chinese at it's finest. Maybe I love it because I grew up with it but I dream about the sweet and sour chicken from time to time. The egg rolls are great and I love the wonton soup. It's been a while since I've been there but on sundays they do a buffet.
